There’s a sales role out there that allows you to stay in the comforts of a warm office, where you have a mix of telephone and face to face sales exposure. You only work Monday to Friday and have all bank holidays off. Finish work at a reasonable hour and actually get to have that Friday feeling.
We’re looking for sales people who are adaptable, intelligent and ambitious. People who want to earn good money and have exciting career prospects at the same time. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows though, you’ll have to work hard everyday as well as prepare yourself for some steep learning curves. Once the penny drops though, you’ll be flying.
What will I need to do?
As a Recruitment Consultant, you’re job is to build relationships with businesses and offer your support with their recruitment needs. Once you have been engaged on a job, you’ll need to advertise the vacancy and start searching for candidates that are suitable for the jobs. Read through their CV, meet with them and interview them, explain to the client why your candidate is suitable and try and secure an interview.
You’ll then need to prepare the candidate for the interview, support them through their nerves, try and secure them the best offer by negotiating the salary and give them a hand when they get cold feet about handing in their notice.
As a Recruitment Consultant, your sales process is two-way. You’ll need to sell your services to a client but also sell the clients job to the candidate. Not every candidate wants the jobs that you’ll be recruiting, which is why clients will engage with us and pay our fees.
